The brief
A restored downtown building with high ceilings, original tiles and tall windows. The owners wanted rooms that told a Cairo story without feeling like a museum, and furniture that could be carried up a historic staircase.
What we made
We designed an Egyptian collection around lotus carving, mother-of-pearl inlay and hand-turned mashrabiya, balanced with clean upholstered pieces so the rooms stay restful. Every room is slightly different, so each set was measured and drawn individually.
- Beds with carved headboards and inlaid nightstands
- Mashrabiya screens used as wardrobe doors and room dividers
- A rooftop lounge in brass, walnut and woven seating
Delivery
Larger pieces were designed to break down into sections and reassemble on site, so nothing had to be lifted through the windows. Our team installed the building in three weeks.
